My Role Model Essay Samples

You might have a lot of people in mind, but here we will cover some of the most common yet efficient ones. For every child, their mother is their first role model. So, let’s cover two simple topics: my role model is my mother and I am my own role model.
My Role Model is my Mother
There is one person who I always look up to. One person who does not need words to understand how I am feeling. She knows how I am doing just by looking at me. She is my mother.
My role model is my mother. She is someone who I have seen praying for me even when we fought, even when I was not talking to her. I know a mother’s love is unconditional, but the way she knows everything is nothing less than magic.
She always inspires me. The way she handles everything at home and work is commendable. She is determined, loving and caring. She has inspired me in all aspects of life. My mother is the captain of the house, handling everything effortlessly.
She handles both her roles as a working woman and a homemaker together. In the morning, she works in the kitchen, preparing my lunch and breakfast before we all leave.
Starting from the morning, till the time she gets up, she worries about us all. From cooking delicious meals to making presentations she has all of it under control. Even after her busy schedule, she ensured that all of us were in good health, and everything went smoothly.
After having a hectic schedule, she does not forget to ask us about our day, what we did back in school, what homework we got, or what we would like to have for the next day’s lunch.
She Is My First Teacher
My mother is my first teacher. I am sure, this is universal for all humans. Mothers are the first tutors who teach us the basics, values, and how to become good humans.
I always wondered how she managed everything. Waking up before all of us, doing all her household chores, and going to work, while taking care of everything takes a lot. And she does it all with a smile on her face.
There is no doubt about the fact that she is the backbone of my family. Whenever I am upset, she is there to lend an ear and hear what I have to say. When I ask her how she handles both, she says it is her responsibility to take care of the family.
Even when she is sick, and we as a family come together to manage the household, she tries to help. There is no doubt about the fact that whatever I am today, it is because of my mother. I owe everything to her.
I Am My Own Role Model
Every human is unique in their own way. That is what I believe. I never thought of being my own role model before, now that is all I can think of. However, this depends on how much I can gain knowledge and achieve in my life.
To get there, I have to get out of my comfort zone. However, I am willing to do that and work on myself consistently. If I continue to work on myself, I believe I will become the best version of myself so others will also look upto me.
At times when I fail to achieve something, I think if all the lessons I learned in the process, so the next time I can avoid those mistakes. I do not back down, I make the failure my strength and move ahead.
Being my own role model allows me to focus on my weaknesses and my strengths. It helps me improve myself in areas where I need to work on. Not just me, I am sure we all want to become the best version of ourselves.
Nobody knows me better than me, and I seek to improve myself every day. I look for appreciation, get new experiences and gather as much knowledge as possible.
Only I can navigate my life, and create a path that others in need can follow as well. I have to do something so that others can look up to me and say that they want to become like me.
Earlier when I used to think of role models, I always thought who is the person I could look up to except for my mother. But then I realized that I should be my role model.
Navigate Your Own Life
If I am not happy with what I have right now, I have to change it. Nobody is going to hand it over to me. Whatever I have gone through has made me stronger, and has prepared me for the worst.
I always had to struggle to get anything I wanted, and I am sure the future holds the same for me. So, whatever I have to do, I have to work on it. I have learned it the hard way.
Moreover, I am proud of the work I have done, and still doing. I am always open to challenges and I am my own role model.
Wrapping Up!
My role model essay can have different angles. Anyone can be a role model. There is no hard and fast rule that it always has to be someone popular or renowned.
You can take reference from these two samples, or create an amazing piece of your own, describing your role model, and why they are your role model.
